Broken Bow Lake
Who can resist a three-day weekend on the lake? Let alone 22 miles of clear, refreshing H2O just begging for all the swimming, boating, wakeboarding, jetskiing, paddleboarding you can throw at it.
Beavers Bend State Park
This state park is so much more than pretty scenery. It’s 1,300 acres packed with hiking trails for any experience level, as well as ziplining, golfing, horseback riding, or even just some good ol’ fashioned rock skipping. For your money, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better state park this close to your place.
Lower Mountain Fork River
If some time on the river is more your speed, well then put the pedal to the metal for the Lower Mountain Fork River. Whether fishing is more your flavor, or you want to float or paddle, you can do it all here. It doesn’t hurt that there’s a waterfall either, that’s always a plus. Plus, the views from this place are pretty hard to top.
