Participants will receive a brief overview of the PA Child Protective Services Law (CPSL) and their legal obligations as mandated reporters. Facilitated either virtually, or in-person, this workshop will enhance participants&#8217; understanding of how to conduct a Minimal Facts Interview, avoiding unnecessary questioning before a forensic interview. Attendees will also learn how to make an effective ChildLine Report based on suspicion, discovery, or disclosure of child abuse. The session concludes with a brief explanation of what happens after a report is filed, including the involvement of investigative parties, the role of Child Advocacy Centers like Mission Kids, and available resources for child abuse victims and their families. Tailored to the needs of various groups, this 60-90 minute session empowers participants with the knowledge and skills to protect vulnerable children effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What You&#8217;ll Learn<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During this interactive workshop, presenters will cover:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><p><strong>Understand Legal Obligations:<\/strong> Gain a clear understanding of the Child Protective Services Law (CPSL) and the responsibilities of a mandated reporter.<\/p><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><p>Minimal Facts Interview Techniques:\u00a0Learn how to gather essential information without compromising the integrity of a child\u2019s forensic interview.<\/p><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><p><strong>Effective Reporting:<\/strong> Master the process of making a ChildLine Report, including what information is needed and how to approach reports based on suspicion, discovery, or disclosure.<\/p><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><p>Post-Reporting Process:\u00a0Understand the steps that follow a ChildLine Report, including the roles of investigative agencies, the use of Child Advocacy Centers, and resources available to support affected families.<\/p><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tailored Learning<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Receive customized insights and strategies to address the specific needs of your group or organization.
