About the Lesson
Parents and caregivers have a big influence on children, but some need assistance with discussing difficult topics, such as sexual abuse, with their children, During this 2-hour workshop, trained facilitators will share information and utilize engaging activities to deliver 3 segments: Healthy Sexual Development, Parent-Child Communication, and Child Safety.
Caregivers will learn
- Accurate info about healthy sexual development throughout childhood, plus indicators of potentially problematic behavior.
- Practical yet vital skills to promote open and honest parent-child communication, particularly surrounding sexual topics.
- Strategies to create safe environments for children at home, around others, and online to protect them from harm.
