Pay: This position offers an initial annual salary range of $40,000 – $48,000, along with robust benefits. Candidates whose experience meets both the minimum and preferred qualifications may be considered for a starting salary that exceeds the current amount.
Office Schedule: Typical office hours are 8:30 am – 4:30 pm; requires night and weekend availability
Work Location: Hybrid remote for office in East Norriton, PA 19401; requires light travel to various locations throughout Montgomery County

Position Summary
The role of the Marketing and Development Associate is multifaceted and pivotal in ensuring the success of the organization’s mission and sustainability. This position involves developing and implementing marketing strategies to raise awareness about the nonprofit’s initiatives, programs, and impact. The associate collaborates with internal teams to create compelling content, including social media campaigns, newsletters, and promotional materials. Simultaneously, they play a crucial role in fundraising efforts, working closely with the development team to cultivate donor relationships, organize fundraising events, and manage donor databases. The Marketing and Development Associate aims to build a strong brand presence, communicate the organization’s values effectively, and engage stakeholders, all while contributing to the financial health and growth of the nonprofit. Their work is instrumental in connecting the organization with its community and supporters, ultimately driving positive change and furthering the mission. The ability to take knowledge and transform it into compelling, useful, and action-oriented messaging and to disseminate knowledge to the right audiences through the best distribution channels is critical to success. This individual should help ensure that Mission Kids is seen as a trust-worthy, proactive leader in the field of child abuse intervention, treatment, and prevention.
Essential Duties & Tasks
- Coordinates necessary activities, which would include digital and marketing materials for upcoming capital campaign, ensuring its successful planning and execution.
- Oversees a redesign of the website to provide a streamlined, compelling, aesthetically appealing, and mobile optimized site. Ensure regular maintenance to keep site fresh and accurate.
- Clarifies the brand of Mission Kids and oversees its consistent execution, internally and externally, by first developing an identity program to provide standards for all communications.
- Manages the content, production, and maintenance of all print and electronic collateral materials including, but not limited to, quarterly newsletters, brochures, press releases, email releases, and prevention education materials. Ensure consistency, accuracy, and appropriate tone for targeted audiences.
- Manages the promotion of the organization through events, public awareness messages, and prevention messages through all social media (including Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok) for Mission Kids.
- Develop and manage stringent project and event timelines, ensuring that meetings are scheduled, deadlines are met, and goals are achieved.
- Oversee the details and logistics of special events to maximize their impact and success.
- Assists with the creation of both print and marketing materials for the organization, as well as special events, maintaining brand consistency.
- Manage graphic design projects with external companies, maintaining brand consistency.
- Provides creative design and print ideas for special projects, including materials for meetings, slide presentations and other visuals.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- 1-3 years of experience in communications, marketing or fundraising.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with proven success in tailoring messages to a variety of audiences.
- Experience with design and production of communications collateral, including websites and social media, with a keen sense of aesthetics and branding.
- High energy, maturity, and leadership with the ability to serve as a unifying force who can position communications discussions at both the strategic and tactical levels.
- Nonprofit experience is a plus, showcasing a commitment to mission-driven work.
- Strong project management skills with attention to detail and deadlines.
- Proficient in creating both print and digital marketing materials.
- Experience in strategically managing social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Ability to handle confidential information, including responding appropriately and legally to disclosures of abuse.
- Successful completion of background checks which include child abuse history, criminal history and FBI clearances.
- Strong proficiency in Canva, Adobe, and Microsoft Office 365
- Valid PA Driver’s License and proof of auto insurance.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field
Working Conditions and Schedules
- Work is performed at a variety of locations throughout Montgomery County
- Travel involved – must have daily access to a reliable vehicle (agency provides mileage reimbursement)
- Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
