Home / Housing Assistance Program
Safe housing is possible.
Stable housing changes everything. Dragonfly has delivered more than 320 housing assistance services to survivors, and we are here to help you find your footing.
If you have been trafficked and you need a stable place to live, Dragonfly’s Housing Assistance Program may be able to help. We work with partners across Oklahoma City to connect survivors with real, independent housing, plus financial help to make it possible.
What the program provides:
Dragonfly’s Housing Assistance Program places survivors in independent housing throughout Oklahoma City. You live in your own space, in your own neighborhood.
The program can help cover:
- Security deposits
- First month’s rent or ongoing rental assistance
- Utility deposits and utility bills
Housing placements are coordinated through Dragonfly’s partnerships with Upward Transitions and the City of Oklahoma City.
Who qualifies?
The Housing Assistance Program is for people who have experienced human trafficking and need help finding or keeping stable housing.
You may qualify if:
- You have experienced sex trafficking or labor trafficking
- You are in an unstable or unsafe living situation
- You are 15 or older
- You are a U.S. citizen or a foreign national
You do not need money, insurance, or a referral from another agency to apply. There is no income requirement. Services are free.
How to apply:
The first step is a phone call. Call or text the helpline and let them know you need housing help. You will speak with a real person who will listen to your situation and help figure out next steps.
From there, you will be connected with a Dragonfly case manager. They will walk you through the process with you, one step at a time.
What to expect after your call:
- A helpline advocate will listen to your situation and connect you with a case manager.
- Your case manager will assess your housing needs and review what options are available.
- If you are eligible, your case manager will help identify a housing placement and coordinate financial assistance.
- Dragonfly will work with Upward Transitions and City of OKC partners to secure your placement.
