Play + Train is a structured day-training program that builds your dog’s skills through daily practice, enrichment, and trainer-guided reinforcement.

Foundations Indoors

Intro cues introduced with minimal distraction: Sit, Down, Come, Place, Loose Leash Walking.

Outside, On-Site

Same cues practiced outside, with moving people, new sounds, and other dogs nearby.

Sidewalks and crosswalks introduce Drop It and Leave It, teaching impulse control.

Your dog enjoys trainer-led sessions throughout the day, mixed with supervised play, enrichment activities, and downtime to help lessons stick. You’ll receive a report card each day so you always know what your dog worked on and how they’re doing.

Play + Train is ideal for dogs who benefit from daily reinforcement, need help polishing their manners, or thrive when training is combined with socialization and enrichment. It’s especially helpful for dogs who already completed the first week of Stay + Play + Train and are ready for the next step.

The curriculum follows a six-week progression, but you can enroll for as many weeks as you’d like. Dogs often continue beyond the core program for added consistency and confidence.

Your dog will practice core cues — Sit, Down, Come, Place, Loose Leash Walking — and progressively learn Drop It, Leave It, Stay, Heel, and Focus across the weeks. Every skill is taught using positive reinforcement and real-world practice.

Yes! You’ll receive a daily report card with notes from your trainer so you can follow your dog’s progress and reinforce skills at home.

No. All breeds and ages are welcome as long as they meet Puppy Paws’ vaccination requirements.

All dogs must be up-to-date on Puppy Paws’ standard vaccines: Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, and Bordetella. These help keep all pups safe during play and training.
